Why does ‘Dabangg’ have a double ‘g’?

If you think that the double ‘g’ in ‘Dabangg’ is a result of some superstitious belief, you are wrong. Producer Arbaaz Khan recently revealed the reason behind naming his debut production venture as ‘Dabangg’.

“‘Dabangg’ means fearless. The film was initially named as ‘Dabang’ but people started misreading it as 'Da-Bang'. The extra ‘g’ was added to cause a resonance and stress so that the word is pronounced correctly,” Arbaaz explained.
